The structure of your protocol

A protocol is a conventional way of setting out the plan of a project, an evaluation or piece of research. It should enable a reader to access information quickly and in a systematic way, which is why the structure is important.

For your course, you are expected to follow the standard layout and guidance about content as shown below when you present your draft and complete protocol.
You must write in the future tense, in an impersonal and non-discursive style.

(NB This section will be a good basis for the section on methods in your final dissertation, although it will then need to be written in the past tense.)
