Failure of the dissertation at the first or second attempt

As with all course work, you are permitted one resubmission of your work and this will be at a date recommended by the Examination Board.

Extensions for resubmissions of dissertations required by overseas students on visas will normally be expected to be no more than three months.  Longer extensions will normally mean the student will return home to do the work.

If your second attempt also fails then you cannot be awarded a Masters degree, but may be awarded a Diploma if the literature review or epidemiological study is adequate.
