Consumer Law

As taught in Autumn Semester 2009/10

Professor Peter Cartwright, School of Law

We are all consumers of goods and services, and we all, at some time or other, appreciate the protection that the law offers. The law has been used to protect consumers for a long time. Magna Carta makes reference to a type of weights and measures law in 1215, and, as you will imagine, consumer law has developed a long way since then. What’s more, it’s about to develop a lot further.

This course has an introduction and six lectures.
