READ: Read Chapter 2 'A Rounded Version' by Howard Gardner from Multiple Intelligences: The Theory in Practice, New York: Basic Books (1993). It is a very accessible extract in which Gardner uses famous people to exemplify each intelligence - Menuhin for the musical, Babe Ruth for the bodily kinaesthetic, Helen Keller for the interpersonal and so on.

WRITE: After reading Gardner's own account of his theory of multiple intelligences, write some detailed notes about what you see as the theory's strengths and limitations.
