This file describes the basic file naming convention for the images and videos stored in the repository titled 'Supplementary data for Inertial effects in just-saturated axisymmetric column collapses'. The majority of the files contained in the repository are the raw video files from the recorded column collapse tests. An example of how these files are titled is 20210914_08g_010w_050_050_005_1.MP4. This naming convention can be decoded as follows: date_grainprop_fluidprop_grainheight_fluidheight_N_Cam where each term seperated by an underscore is defined below: date: The date on which the test was undertaken. grainprop: The diameter of the granular phase mm followed by the material of the granular phase. For all tests in this repository glass (g) beads were used. fluidprop: The viscosity of the fluid with respect to water (i.e. 010 refers to water while 050 refers to a solution 5 times more visocus than water) followed by the type of fluid. w stands for water whereas g refers to a glycerol-water mixture. grainheight: The height of the granular phase in mm fluidheight: The height of the fluid phase in mm N: The gravitational scale factor Cam: The camera position from which the video was recorded from. 1 refers to the upstream flow side while 2 refers to the downstream flow side. As well as the raw videos from the tests, the repository contains to further files. 20210914_08g_010w_050_050_005_1_phases.mp4: The transformed video of test 20210914_08g_010w_050_050_005_1 where the process of capturing both phase fronts has been place over the top of the image. 20210914_08g_010w_050_050_005_1_30_phases.png: A png image file of the 30th frame of 20210914_08g_010w_050_050_005_1_phases.mp4
